Sophia is a Black, Korean and Jewish screenwriter and performer born and raised in Brooklyn, NY.

Sophia has supported the production and development teams of FilmNation, Killer Films and Market Road Films. While with FilmNation she conducted research on the Barriers to Racial Equity in Film and Television which pioneered new hiring practices to attract a diverse pool of interns. She has directed film content and provided creative direction for DJ Justine D and has supported renowned theater artist Daniel Alexander Jones during his residency with the Public. Most recently she acted as Beth Ditto of Gossip’s Personal Assistant on her European tour.

Sophia has worked as a performance artist with Marina Abramovic, acted on stage at the Getty Villa and made an appearance on HBO’s The Wire. She recently wrote the short film Love, Dahlia (dir. Dana Osburn) which is currently in post production.

She received her BFA in Acting from CalArts and an MFA in Screenwriting at the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema at Brooklyn College.
